Our Vision: To promote inline skating as a safe and fun sport in Singapore.

The Skate Assist Volunteers (SAV) are a team of passionate skaters with a vision to foster a safe and vibrant skating community in Singapore. We do this by providing free instruction to beginner skaters on basic skating techniques and safe skating etiquettes. The techniques used are in accordance with the Inline Certification Program (ICP), an international standard for teaching inline skating. We seek to encourage skaters to be ambassadors of inline skating, promoting it as a safe and fun sport. The main sponsor of the SAVs is Skateline.

The SAVs have been actively involved in various events: National Park Safety Campaign, SAFRA Runway Cycling, Standard Chartered Marathon, charity night skate and even the record-breaking event by national adventurer Khoo Swee Chiow for the longest journey on skates. It is never a dull moment as an SAV.

Wish to meet like-minded skaters? Hope to play a part for the community? Then join us as a volunteer, as an SAV. We conduct recruitment and trainings every few months and have regular social gatherings. Feel free to join us. For event updates, keep a lookout on this blog.
